Dubai Desert Safari: Dune Drive Camel & 5* BBQ Shows Stargazing
The best part of this Dubai desert safari is the quick change of scene: one moment you are leaving the city in a shared Land Cruiser, and soon you are climbing the red dunes of Lahbab in a 4WD. After the 15-minute dune drive, the pace slows for sunset photos, a camel ride, sandboarding, dinner, and live entertainment.
I like the way the tour combines the main desert activities in one afternoon, especially dune bashing and sunset photography. The price also covers hotel pickup, dinner, drinks, camel riding, sandboarding, henna, and the evening shows, which makes the $49 fee good value for a first desert outing.
The main drawback is that the evening camp can feel less personal. Side tables with dedicated service cost extra, and one booking had poor pickup communication. Confirm your pickup details early, and expect optional quad bikes, dune buggies, and premium seating to add to the bill.
